SweetWater Resort is a small, family owned, resort open for reservations May 1 through November 30. We have 5 seasonal cabins (available May 15 through September 15) and 2 cabins which are rented daily/weekly. May 1 through November 30.
Cabin #3 is a seasonal cabin available May 15 through September 15 of each summer where you can enjoy the beauty of Fish Trap Lake. Relax in the shade or the sun as you enjoy the sights and sounds of the lake-shore and beautiful wooded surroundings.
We provide one dock space for each cabin at no charge. Fish Trap's 1,250 acres of water provides enjoyment for all water activities. Build a sand castle on the swimming beach. Love to fish? You'll find walleye, large and small mouth bass, northern pike, crappie, perch and panfish in the clear waters of scenic Fish Trap Lake.
Unique Features
Healing Gardens. Ask about our spring "Green-thumbers Paradise" weekend. Must-see 20 x 50 hosta garden, lakeside garden lakeview rock garden, heart garden -- gardens that greet our guests. Washer and dryer available at the resort office. We provide all the fire wood you need for the fire ring. Wi-Fi in the cabins. No TV. Sand swimming beach. Build sand castles and family memories here.
Things To Do
Fishing, skiing, canoeing on extremely picturesque Fish Trap Lake. With 13.7 miles of shoreline and a median depth of 23 feet, there is plenty of room for "one more cast". Walleye, large mouth bass, northern pike, crappie, perch and panfish can be be found in these clear waters. Our resort has four 2-bedroom cabins, two 3-bedroom cabins and 1 6-bedroom cabin.

April of 2001, Chuck and Cindy Brey purchased a small resort on Fish Trap Lake in central Minnesota and named it SweetWater.
