Cabin #1 is a quaint, 500 square foot vacation home located in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. This spot is the perfect lakeside getaway to enjoy with your friends and family. Throughout the spring and summer, you can book this home to relax while playing cards or grilling out on the deck, or enjoy some fishing and ski-sports on the nearby lake.
The main room not only contains a full kitchen, but a dining area and a living room. The space is equipped with a propane furnace, and throughout hot summer days you can keep cool with the window AC unit. Outside of the forest-green home, there is a spacious 8ft x 15ft deck complete with a table and seating that overlooks a gorgeous view of the lake and oak trees.
Inside the cabin, you can find 2 large queen-sized beds, as well as a futon. Thus, this cozy vacation rental can comfortably sleep up to 6 people.
Cabin #1 not only contains a large deck that wraps around half of the home, but large sliding doors that look out onto the patio and its stunning view. The design allows for plenty of natural light to shine through while relaxing and reading a nice book in the living room. In the front yard, there is a charcoal grill, allowing for plenty of barbecue parties!
Located in Otter Tail County, Cabin #1 offers a variety of outdoor activities for you to partake in. Within Otter Tail County, there are a total of 1,048 lakes, which happens to be more lakes than any other county in the whole United States. With such a large variety of lake sizes, you are bound to find the perfect one to enjoy your vacation on! Many visitors within the area enjoy going boating, fishing, swimming, skiing, sailing - you name it!
If you are not one for water sports and are looking for a more relaxing activity “on-land,” there is a sandy beach on-site where you can enjoy a sunset picnic, or take the kids to the playground. Further, this area also has some lovely biking & walking trails. As for those who are golf fans, there are three great golf courses in the area where you can sip on an ice cold beverage and play up to 18 holes.

Last minute camper rental turned into an amazing find. So friendly and the grounds are beautiful!!!! Perfect for kids of all ages. The camp sites are well maintained, cabins look amazing! There is so much to do…a great playground, game room (pool table, ping pong, board games, books, outdoor toys), volleyball, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and more!! The sandy beach is clean and great for swimming. Tons of sand toys! I seriously just keep telling my mom how awesome this place is. They have a 1/2 mile wilderness trail with exercise stops along the way. It was a fun way to start our morning. Office with a little store attached is perfect for a special treat or if you forgot something. We will definitely be back! Sarah Beckmann

Swan Lake Resort & Campground is a family-owned operation that began in 1949. Originally known as John’s Landing, it emerged in response to locals looking to launch their boats into Swan Lake and camp in Farmer John’s nearby field. Over the years and with immense care, it grew into a Minnesota lakeside oasis. Although the resort has changed hands several times, it remains a beautiful haven for travelers passing through and the local community.
The resort & campground is the only commercial operation on recreational Swan Lake in Otter Tail County and is located a few miles south of Fergus Falls, MN. On 17 acres of land, 6 of which are natural woodlands, and has over 780 ft of lakeshore frontage that includes a sandy swimming beach.
