New & improved in 2012. Our Northern Cabin has sunset views inside and out. Watch the sun hit the horizon from the Living Room, Kitchen, and of course the spacious deck. Northern cabin is on the bay and overlooks the dock area. Watch the fisherman come and go from inside or from the picnic table.
Northern cabins is one of 13 Northern Lights cabins. Adults will be surprised how clean and comfortable our cabins are. The while kids love our sandy beach, and the largest floating water park in Northern Minnesota. The water equipment is as memorable as the fishing! Aqua trampoline, Acqua Tower & climbing wall, slide and a 20’ launch, aqua log & trapeze. It's invigorating for all ages.
Sleeping arrangement: One bedroom has a Queen and Twin and the other bedroom has three twins. Plus a hide-a-bed futon in living room.
The glass sliding door leads to the deck. The camp chef will appreciate both the large kitchen and the view while grilling out on the deck. Relax on the deck furniture while the charcoal grill does all the work. It wouldn’t be a “Northern” cabin without vaulted ceilings and Norway Pine throughout much of the home. We installed a gas fireplace in the living room to kill the chill on those cool spring and fall mornings. We installed a fire pit outside for mid day shore lunches and marshmallow roasting after dark.

Spring means the fishing opener is just around the corner, it's treated like a national holiday around here and the fishing is legendary. Fish are spawning; the walleye along the rocky gravel shores, and the northern, bass and crappies in the grassy bays. Bring your boat or rent a 16’ or 18’ fully equipped fishing boat or 21’ or 22’ pontoon from us. We have a full service harbor and one boat slip comes with the Northern Cabin.
Summer is family time - warmer water and long summer days outdoors. In addition to our resort beach, there are bays and inlets tucked into the shoreline of Lake Kabetogama where you can enjoy your own private beach.Go tubing, fishing, have a picnic, or join us during the week for Youth Quest Activities at Northern Lights. Nature hikes, kayak lessons, scavenger hunts, minnow races, and more. Free for our guests: Mountain Bikes, Horse Shoes, Lawn Games, HydroBikes, Foosball, even your first bundle of firewood.
