Constructed 2016. Tastefully appointed, modern and impeccably clean! Nestled in the forest! Private! We couldn’t think of a better place on earth to see the star-studded heavens and possibly catch a glimpse of the beautiful Northern Lights - especially from the outdoor fire pit while roasting marshmallows.
Our open kitchen and living area is highlighted by beautiful fireplace. A well-equipped kitchen to: Dishwasher, microwave, full-size oven & range, refrigerator, coffee-maker, toaster oven, mixer, corn popper, eating and cooking utensils, fully stocked spices and Weber Kettle BBQ grill. The heated floors keep the feet warm all winter.
Sleeping arrangement: Comfortable beds! Second floor Master has a queen bed with deck view of Lake Superior. Main level bedroom with queen bed. The third room is an upper loft with double bed. For extra sleeping space we have a double sofa bed in the living Room.

Our Lodge next to Lake Superior is less than 2 miles from Superior Hiking Trail, Superior National Golf Course, North Shore Winery, Sawtooth Cider House and many dining spots. Nearby is Temperance River State Park, Cascade Falls, Grand Marais, Lutsen Lodge dining, Lutsen Mountain.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Our family of 4 had plenty of space. The upper deck was amazing to sit at after our children were tucked into bed. The cabin had all the amenities one would need, is well stocked and well kept. It was a great home base for our adventures to Grand Marais, Lutsen, hiking, Grand Portage, etc. A ride on the Gondala (which is just up the road) is a must if you are staying at this cabin, the view from the restaurant at the top is breathtaking. The owners were very responsive and helpful throughout the rental process and communications after about an item left behind and shipping it to us. We will definitely recommend this property to others. Loved that we weren't able to connect to wi-fi or data so we truly felt that secluded, up north feel. Katie T.

We loved our stay at Lutsen Little Bear Lodge. It's our fifth time to Lutsen and first time we didn't stay on resort owned property. We loved the seclusion, yet ease of getting to the skiing. We enjoyed making our own meals and the roasting marshmallows over the fire in the fire ring (it was a bit covered with snow, but we found it and dug it out). My favorite part was having all the lights out in the cabin and being able to still see from starlight; it was so cool to keep all the curtains open and sleep under the stars in style. Overall, super-comfy cabin and a place we'll certainly return to. Thanks for the great time!

We discovered the magic of Lake Superior's north shore shortly after we met at the University of Minnesota in Duluth. The breathtaking vistas, endless recreational opportunities defined this little slice of serenity and we could not resist building a little cabin nestled in the woods by the lake!
