This was our first time at Loon Point Resort. John and Sherrie were awesome hosts and so helpful educating us about the lake and where to fish. Our cabin, Jack Pine was by far the cleanest and most cared for cabin we have ever stayed at. Thanks John and Sherrie for helping us create such great memories! David Becker
Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at Loon Point Resort in June of 2023 and we hope to return for years to come. The resort exceeded our expectations with its sense of hospitality and quality: Sherrie and John offered such a warm and genuine welcome to all guests; the Tamarack Cabin was immaculately clean, well decorated, spacious, and equipped with everything needed for adults and kids (we especially appreciated the closet full of toys, lawn games, board games, and cards); the beach was a wonderland of play with a water trampoline, paddle boards, canoes, and many sand toys. We also appreciated the playground, fire pits, volleyball court, basketball hoop, and many other amenities. Our family couldn't have been happier with our experience and would highly recommend Loon Point Resort! Alexis Nelson
Located just north of Grand Rapids, Loon Point Resort is a perfect representation of Northern Minnesota beauty. The lake is decent size at over 400 acres and with no public access, pretty quiet. Fishing is always good, especially pike and largemouth bass and crappie. Variety of cabins to suit each guest are clean and welcoming. The Porth's are excellent hosts and it is obvious, they love what they do. Many other lakes in the area to explore 30 minutes or less away. Very kid friendly. Matt Nelson
We loved our first experience at Loon Point two years ago so much that we brought more family with this year! The cabin was perfect for our needs, the fishing was outstanding, and the beach and water toys were a huge hit with the kids. Perfect relaxing week away. This place is a hidden gem. We will be back!
