Everything at Loon Point is more than you would expect.|The accommodations and amenities, inside the cabin and at the beach, are the best. Jim H
My family and I come here every August and we absolutely love our time here! The cabins are great and me and my Fiancee love the beach. The fishing is also great if you know where to go! Aiden Sanborn
What a GREAT week we had!!! Can't wait to go back next summer!! It was so peaceful and yet fun things to do for us all from kayaking to feeding the chipmunks. Pontoon was a great addition to the week as well. Jill N
Very nice cabins. Clean and well kept. True "Up North" feeling. We went snowmobiling and the access to trails directly from the resort was excellent and trails are well groomed and run through State and National forest land. Beautiful!!! Plan to go back next year. Peter R
Wow. Thank you so much for a great trip. We were a group of seven guys that usually go fishing in Canada but obviously couldn’t this year. I wish we would have found you last year. If you are serious about fishing, this is a Great Lake to go to. Nothing like the public lakes that see a lot of pressure and people keep everything they catch. We spent a week on this lake and did not see it all. If you take your time picking apart the cover and find the right pattern, you will catch a lot of fish. Cabin was great. Very clean with everything you need. I took my college age son and he had a blast. The couple that owns this place are so nice and really care about having a top notch property. Thank you again for a great week. Tim Kice
First timers to loon point and it won't be our last. Sherrie and John are great owners and keep the place spotless. If you need anything they can help. The cabins are great and the fishing was good. Park your boat by your cabin and that's nice. Listening to the loons and looking at the lake all day long makes it a great place. Thank you Sherrie and John for a very nice vacation. Tom Chapman
Clean and well maintained cabin, grounds, and amenities. Their fiber optic internet was fast and accommodated VOIP calls. Pontoon rental was top notch and clean. Beach was sandy and was loaded with tons of complimentary toys for all ages. Floating trampoline was a hit with our 5 and 7 year olds. Lake was peaceful. Nighttime views from the cabin were spectacular. Excellent experience and would highly recommend it! Justin Fox
Located just north of Grand Rapids, Loon Point Resort is a perfect representation of Northern Minnesota beauty. The lake is decent size at over 400 acres and with no public access, pretty quiet. Fishing is always good, especially pike and largemouth bass and crappie. Variety of cabins to suit each guest are clean and welcoming. The Porth's are excellent hosts and it is obvious, they love what they do. Many other lakes in the area to explore 30 minutes or less away. Very kid friendly. Matt Nelson
We loved our first experience at Loon Point two years ago so much that we brought more family with this year! The cabin was perfect for our needs, the fishing was outstanding, and the beach and water toys were a huge hit with the kids. Perfect relaxing week away. This place is a hidden gem. We will be back!
